NECPA 2017 features technology

It’s hard to believe we are coming to the end of another year and with it, another NECPA Annual Expo & Meeting is almost upon us. NECPA 2017 will, once again, be filled with many opportunities for networking, education and skill building as we bring together the largest gathering of outdoor fabric, canvas, shade, awning and marine professionals in the North East.
This year, we’re especially excited to kickoff our event on Thursday evening with our opening session on Implementing Technology in Your Operation. All levels of technical expertise are encouraged to attend this event which will take a look at technology implementation from both a strategic and tactical perspective. Our opening session will be followed by a networking dinner and an open discussion of what technologies you’re using at your organization. Come ready with your most pressing questions for our panel of experts.
For Friday’s educational tracks, we’ve assembled a great line-up of experts from several fields of expertise. Our Combined Session Track will be led by Samalid Hogan of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center who, along with CPAs Amanda Garcia and Charlotte Cathro, will provide expert guidance on the ins and outs of business finance in “Understanding Your Business Financials and What the Numbers Really Mean.”
Awning professionals will enjoy sessions on Structural Engineering from Nevin Taylor of Durst & Taylor Structural Engineering, Sales Training from Robert Martensson of SunAir, and Developing an Effective Installer Onboard Program with Noel Martinez of Hoover Architectural Products.
Our Marine Track will feature sessions on Integrating Canvas and Alternative Energy Sources, Canvas Repairs and Fixes, a hands-on session on Cutting Difficult Foam Shapes, a look at the latest Tools, Tips and Tricks, and Katie Bradford will share some insights on foreign markets garnered from her trip to Japan.
Friday night’s dinner and Beach Party is sure to be a hit! Plan to be there for prizes, raffles and be ready to enter our “Ugly Shirt Contest”! Join us Saturday for our ever-popular Expo where you will meet leading suppliers in our industry and see the latest innovations they have to offer. As always, we’ll have numerous hands-on demos on the expo floor as well as round table discussions, opportunities to win cash prizes and this year we’ll be livestreaming the whole event!.
